hi, i'm pranit.

i live in san francisco, where i'm building motherboard. we make ai for frontline service work, so humans can focus on doing what humans do best. if you want to hear me go on about it, coffee's on me.

before this

i studied at dartmouth, graduated magna cum laude, and picked up a few awards here and there. after that i spent a few years at palantir supporting and leading work for industrial companies and frontline workers. mostly that meant figuring out how software actually lands with people whose job is nowhere near a desk. i liked those problems a lot, enough to go start my own thing.

not work

i like taking things apart to see how they talk. the current patient is my robot vacuum, which i've wired into so i can read its serial console while it boots. no particular reason. it's my vacuum and i deserve to know what it's thinking.

otherwise i'm out on my bike, in the city or across the bridge, usually with a food stop as the real destination. i'll try almost any new spot once. between rides i'm planning a trip i've convinced myself i've earned. recommendations for any of the three are always welcome.
